Listed below are the 2008 Election dates scheduled. Also listed are new state laws that affect voters and additional information as well. Thanks for visiting daltontownship.org. Elections scheduled for 2008 are as follows: (more elections may be scheduled) January 15, 2008 Presidential Primary (unless the parties cancel the election) May 6, 2008 Annual School Election August 5, 2008 Primary Election November 4, 2008 General Election Many offices will be elected in 2008 ranging from federal and state, to local township offices. Proposals will also be voted upon. If you are interested in running for a township office, i.e., Supervisor, Treasurer, Clerk or Trustee (4) the deadline to file for the same is May 13, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. Pursuant to a new state law, voters must show picture I.D. at the polls
when voting. If a voter does not have a picture I.D. then they must fill
out an affidavit attesting that he or she is not in possession of picture

of acceptable ID's are driver license, personal ID card, federal or state

with photo, student ID with photo, tribal ID card with photo. This does
NOT affect anyone who will be voting absentee. On another note: We continue to work hard in the clerk's office. We perform many duties besides elections.
